Club Spins
It has become apparent that the Club runs especially on Wednesday evening are getting faster and faster to the point that members are getting Dropped and left to make there own way home. Steady CC is not a racing club and was started so that it's members could enjoy their cycling. So I propose that form now on we adopt a maximum speed limit of 17 MPH obviously this can be exceeded if you are descending, And stay together until the last 5 miles on a short ride or 10 miles on a longer ride at which point anybody wishing to up the pace can do so. If anyone has any thoughts on this please get in touch with Terry mob07748965206. The Club Committee would like to point out that to go on any of the club rides you need a valid Cycling Ireland Licence for details of hpw to obtain a licence click hereand that Helmets must be worn to comply with the Cycling Ireland regulations. Saturday's Spin
Only the brave ventured out this Saturday, well me and Paul Beattie anyway. We went onward through all that mother nature could throw at us to ensure that Steady cc was seen on the roads of Co Armagh. Sunday Fun
Anyone interested in having some fun on a Sunday afternoon. The Club is running a family cycle in Loughall Country Park. This week we had 15 potential cyclists including Doughnut, Olive and Louie Walsh. The fun starts at 3.00pm until appx 4.00pm.. Any help will be very welcome.

Brendan Returns

Brendan has returned from his cycling holiday where he rode from the cote d'azur to the costa brava. He has bloged his journey just to make us all jealous click here to go to the blog Highly recommended read. But above all a fantastic ride Steady cc say's well done Brendan.
Skills at Loughall
We are starting the skills courses at Loughall Country Park starting at 3.00pm. Everyone is welcome we usually finish at 4.00pm. You do not have to be a member of Steady Cycling Club. For an initial fee of £3.00 to cover insurance and the first week, then £1.00 per week per person and for families or more than 2 children £2.00 each week after that. We usually run this course until the end of the school holidays. Don't forget everyone is welcome parents as well.
Tour of Innishowen
Check the calendar for August for details of this tour. A couple of people have mentioned that they are interested in doing this tour. It looks like quite a good spin around Co Donegal leaving Londonderry at 08.30am and will take most of the day with a couple of good climbs.
